Drop the period's files in one place: the daily sales reports, invoice history, timeclock and roster exports, and the payroll summary. Backline recognizes each file and files it under the right pay period.

Payroll
The payroll journal is built from the payroll summary and checked to balance. Hours paid are matched against the timeclock, person by person, and new hires and departures are listed for the payroll provider.

Post
The daily sales journals are ready to import into QuickBooks, and every vendor invoice becomes a bill sheet QuickBooks can read. New vendors are matched to your QuickBooks vendor list.

Upload the period's profit and loss from QuickBooks, and Backline ties it back to the sales you reported, so you know the books match before you move on.
